The Execution of Poor Richard (2005)

A spell binds Franklin within our craft, calling him forth and trapping his spirit. Here the man is doomed to re-live certain unrelated omissions which bear scrutiny: he only eats bread for lunch; he tried to cook a turkey with electricity; he was reprimanded in “the cockpit”; he started the dead letter office.  What happens to our picture of history when we strip Franklin down to a few elements of his proto-gothic era?
