Parsifal (2012)
Befitting Wagner’s magnum opus, this massive 5-hour video projection featured a mesmerizing visual journey from alien cloudscapes to the viscous interior of the body to a hyper-galactic cosmos. The epic footage was shot using timelapse, macro-photography, and classic visual effects approaches, like a cloud tank. Parsifal premiered at the Lyon Opera in 2012 and at the Metropolitan Opera in New York in 2013.
